Fututo and drums on a chilly hill, the setting sun in the background. I couldn't think of a better way to spend Día de los Muertos, in the beautiful Green-Wood Cemetery.
Dja'rara led the rara procession through the cemetery, designed as a greenspace for 19th C workers. A good crowd, a couple of highlights about the site and the music and a bit about Haitian and other customs around death and remembrance, part of a year-long project at the Brooklyn Arts Council.
